HI I'M Kerry

Your fashion designer friend - and the person who made her own wedding veil.

I've been sewing for thirty years. I have a fashion degree, did work experience at London fashion designers, and ran my own made-to-order clothing business for professional women before moving to California.

So when I got engaged and walked into a bridal shop — I looked at the veils, looked at the price tags, and thought: I'll make my own.

My wedding was in New York in 2015. I made my own silk tulle veil with scattered crystal beads, my bouquet, my belt, my cape, my flower hairclip and the reception floral centerpieces.

Not because I wanted to save money. Because I wanted everything to feel like us.

Standing in Central Park on our wedding day — wearing something I had made with my own hands — felt different to anything I could have bought.

That feeling is what The Veil Workshop is built on.

In fashion we never make the final version first. We always make a trial. We think through every decision before we buy or cut the fabric - the colour, the length, the fibre, the finish. It's just how the process works.

It's not something most people outside the industry would know. Why would you? Nobody teaches brides this stuff.

That's exactly why the workshop exists. To give you the professional knowledge before you start — so you get it right the first time.

I teach brides who have never sewn to make a veil that's personal, considered and completely theirs.

Not store bought. Not a vendor's version of your vision. Yours — because you made it.

Fashion Designer guided workshops — online and in Concord, CA.
